Winter Begins

We've had a weird winter here in Coshocton, Ohio. Technically, it's not winter yet, but we've had snow on all but 2 days of this December so this last 3 weeks or so of fall sure seems like it. Right now, the rain has just turned to snow again and it's coming down with significant speed and we're expecting snow for the next 3 days as well.

Good thing I don't have to go anywhere - my work commute is from upstairs to down.

We've had a pretty crazy Fall so far. It has been far wetter than normal and we've had quite a bit of rain here in Northern Italy. I'm not sure how that will bode for the winter. We normally get relatively mild winters (compared to what I'm used to in the midwest). So I'm not looking forward to digging out of several feet of snow. The Italians are chaotic enough as it is. Throwing unusual weather patterns at them will make things really crazy.

I guess you get all that lake-effect snow. Hope you warm up soon.

@John: I've seen videos of Italians driving so I can just imagine how it must be during snow pileups. :)

@Susan: We get some of the lake effect snow, but not as much as you'd think given how close we are to the lakes. The wind patterns kinda push it away from us and to the east. That said, last year we got around a yard of snow, so we can get hit with a lake effect every now and again.
